Ricky Benos

Benos received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architecture from The Ohio State University in 1983 and 1985 respectively. He has worked for a number of Ohio firms and became a partner at The Arcus Group, Inc in 1995. Currently the firm has 6 employees. Benos oversees project management and quality control for construction documents and construction administration. Under his guidance he has instituted a master specification system that governs contract conditions and quality of construction. To compliment these facets of project development, a computerized cost estimating system has been developed that has allowed him to prepare accurate estimates of probable construction costs. Ricky is NCARB certified and holds an architectural license in Ohio. He has completed projects in Ohio, Florida, Alabama, Michigan, Kansas, Missouri and Canada Ricky is married with 3 children and 1 dog. Benos enjoys vacations, golf and Fat Head’s Bumble Berry Ale. He spends most of his spare time lecturing his children and pet with mixed results.

David Krebs, LEED AP

David L. Krebs is president of AODK, Inc., an architectural design firm located in Lakewood, Ohio. The firm specializes in religious, commercial building, restaurants, medical and residential projects. Krebs received his bachelor’s degree in architecture from The Ohio State University in 1989. In 1993, he won an appointment for an 18-month program in London, England, at the Architectural Association earning a graduate design degree. He opened AODK, Inc. in 1999 and was located in downtown Cleveland for 11 years. In 2010 they purchased and renovated a building for AODK offices on Lakewood. Currently the firm has 6 employees. AODK provides services of programming, master planning, schematic design, 3-dimensional visualization and animation, construction documents, interior design and architectural project administration. The firm has completed projects in Ohio, Florida, New York, Indiana, North Carolina and Michigan. Krebs is passionate about energy efficiency and the environment, and is certified as LEED AP, which is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. The firms latest residential project recently received the highest rating of LEED Platinum. David is married with 2 children and 2 dogs. Krebs enjoys travel, boating, snow skiing, water skiing, pottery, pool and an insane amount of youth soccer games.

Tom Liggett

Liggett received his BS Architecture degree from The Ohio State University in 1983. He has experience with a couple of Ohio architectural firms in residential and commercial projects. He is a founding partner at The Arcus Group, Inc. Architects. The Arcus Group was conceived in 1989 and established in 1994. The architectural firm has currently has 6 employees. Liggett is passionate about the environment, design efficiency, proportion and aesthetics. He prides himself on taking the goals of his clients and producing a design everyone will be pleased to live in. Many of Tom’s projects have received recognition from community groups and organizations. Tom is an empty nester with 2 adult children, a dog, 2 chinchillas and 2 guinea pigs. Liggett enjoys travel around the world, golf, the arts and watching his kids grow in their careers and life. His first parachute jump was in June of 1987.

Maddux received his BS Architecture degree from The Ohio State University in 1983 and received his Master of Architecture degree from The Ohio State University in 1985. He has worked for a number of Ohio firms and became a partner at The Arcus Group, Inc in 1996. Currently the firm has 6 employees. Maddux is passionate about design efficiency and the process of taking designs from conception thorough construction. The firm has had multiple LEED certified buildings and projects. Maddux is NCARB certified and holds licenses in several states. David is married with 3 children a dog and rescued guinea pig. Maddux enjoys travel, golf, and following his kids many activities.

Scott Richardson

Scott is a Cleveland Institute of Art graduate, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design and minors in Industrial and Graphic Design. Scott was identified as the top graduate in his class and was awarded the Agnes Gund Foundation Traveling Scholarship. In 1991, he joined Fitch, Inc. in Columbus, OH as a Designer in the company’s Consumer Environments team. While at Fitch, Scott was responsible for the design and development of a variety of branded retail environments, restaurants, exhibitions and entertainment venues. In 1994, Scott founded Richardson Design, a firm that has established a global reputation for their design and creation of engaging brand experiences. Richardson’s client roster is extensive and includes the likes of The Michael Symon Restaurant Group, Aramark Sports and Entertainment, Great Lakes Brewing Company, Lowe’s Corporation, Universal Studios, Forest City Development, and Stark Enterprises, among others. The firm also works on select corporate office and residential commissions. Many of Richardson’s projects have been recognized for excellence by organizations such as the International Interior Design Association and the Institute of Store Planners. The firm’s work has been published in ID, VM&SD, Contract, Interior Design, Cleveland, and Northern Ohio Live Magazines as well as The Cleveland Plain Dealer and The New York Times. Mr. Richardson was recognized for his furniture design work by Promosedia, an Italian furnishings manufacturer and participated in a European traveling exhibition of American furniture designers. Scott held a visiting faculty appointment in the Interior Architecture Department at the Cleveland Institute of Art for 15 years and served as the President of the Board of Directors for SPACES, a non-profit art gallery from 2010-2012. Scott is married and has 2 daughters and a dog. He enjoys traveling, the arts, and cooking.
